Rude – Won’t be back. Went to have dinner and drinks with friends. My wife brought in last 1/4 cup of coffee from another establishment. Waiter and then I assume the manager made a big deal about her not being allowed to finish her coffee. They took it away from her. We visited with our friend for an hour or so but did not order dinner. Not willing to spend my money in such an unfriendly environment. Sam lost out on the profit that could have been made off of our dinners and drinks. Even worse, we won’t be back. Hope it was worth the strict policies. Great business decision.
Sam’s Sports Grille & Bar at the Cove. I usually don’t complain but I think I need to in this case. I don’t know about any of the other Sam’s since this was the first time I’d been to one.But the experience I had at the Sam’s at the Cove in Old Hickory, Tn. was by far the worst experience I’d ever had while dining out. I ordered a Stella with a cold mug and a small barbeque chicken pizza. After waiting about 10 minutes I received my beer. It was already in the mug when it reached my table and when I took a drink it wasn’t Stella and it definitely wasn’t cold. What I was served was warm Miller Lite. When I mentioned this to my waitress, Amanda? I think her name was. She said she would take care of it and took the beer from the table. My pizza came out after nearly an hour. I had no napkins or eating utensils. I also had nothing to drink. I finished my meal. She brought the check and never mentioned the beer she was supposed to bring me or asked me how my meal was. When I looked at the check I was charged for the Stella that I never got. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told they were taking a lunch break and it would be a while before anyone could help me. So I was given the choice of either waiting for someone to help me or just paying for something I never received. So I waited.When someone finally did come help me it was a young girl with brown hair and red shirt. I told her what had happened and she seemed irritated that I was complaining about it. She reluctantly took the beer off my bill. Then I over heard her say to another employee that I was trying to get something for free. That’s not what I was trying to do!! I happily pay my tabs, bills etc.!! Overall I felt very unappreciated and will never go back.

I watched him hit on the girls, and he has yelled and screamed at them within (very close) ear shot of me. He is VERY rude to them, and just plain creepy. I eat here because it’s conveniently located near activities I enjoy, so I frequently pop in for a quick bite, and I have seen him act inappropriatly on ever occasion he was there while I was dining. I now go elsewhere when he is there.-If he worked for me, I would fire him on the spot, no questions asked!
Decent food. Horrible bartender and service.
Like it. It’s good for beer and nachos and lots of tvs. However if Ur looking for a martini I’d go elsewhere. (or romantic date night. ). It’s loud. Service ws good.
Same old story. Time of visit: Monday 3:00 pm, not crowded, poor service, waitress got order wrong, had to be reminded of things, no follow-up service, dirty menus, fair prices, good ribs though
Fantastic. We have eaten at Sam’s at the Stones River Mall several times now and have never been disappointed. Grilled fish sandwich is incredible, Burgers are excellent, and they have a huge adult beverage selection. The space is laid out much better than when this was an Irish bar. The wait staff are helpful and friendly without being pushy. This is a welcome addition to the ‘boros sports bar scene.
