The place is nice inside and the staff was super friendly. However, my husband and I were disappointed by the food. Ordered the spring rolls which were wrapped poorly and full of mostly iceberg lettuce. We both had the Phad Thai and were unimpressed by the flavors. Asked for the spice tray and when we got it, found it only had salt, peanuts, pepper flakes, and pepper flakes in oil. We were used to getting spice trays with garlic chili sauce, pickled hot peppers, etc. from other Thai places. All in all, an unsatisfying culinary experience. Our meal with tip was close to $40 – not worth the quality/taste of the food we had. We will be trying other Thai places in hopes of finding something better.
Tried this place while in town on business and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Tom Kha Kai was excellent and the fried bananas with ice cream were a perfect ending to a great meal. Will definitely eat here again next trip to this part of the country!
Have eaten very regularly at each of the Bangkok’s three locations as it has relocated over 15 years and can say uneqivocally that the food, in freshness and consistent quality of flavor, is the best in Murfreesboro. Have I had a sub-par meal or has service faltered on a rare occasion? Of course, it’s a restaurant owned and operated by creative, talented people, not a factory staffed with robots. Day in and day out, Bangkok is one of rhe highest quality restaurants in the area, well worth repeated visits to sample its (new) and quite varied menu. The owner/chef Bupha Bucheron is always receptive to customers’ requests forsomething new, different, and surprising. There are daily and evening Specials that are excellent value.
Worst Food I have ever eaten. My Daughter and I ate there today. She ordered the Pad Thai which I also tasted. It was awful. I know good Pad THAI and this was not it. The food tasted bland at best.I ordered the Curry Chicken which came with soup. The soup left an awful taste in my mouth, that I had to resort to mints to get the taste out. The chicken had no flavor and no spices. When I told them how awful the food was they said others think its the best. I’m thinking the others were given different food. Also, the food was not very warm. Also the fried rice that came with mine was also bad.Both of us left most of the food in our dishes because it was that bad. Trust me I usually finish my food.

Best restaurant in Murfreesboro. Have been going to Bangkok for years, way back before its current location. Have to say, I have NEVER had a bad dish here. Nothing I have had has ever tasted like it has been pre-packaged or frozen. Their fresh spring rolls and peanut sauce are to die for. My favorite dish is the Phad Krapho (sp?) #25 and my husband’s favorite is the Drunk Beef. AMAZING. Never ordered off their lunch menu….the dinner entrees are just too good.
