Please don’t waste your money!04 Jul, 2013Ok, first let me say that I was really excited to try this place…I have never written a review of a restaurant, but I feel that after our experience, we must share. Our experience was possibly the worst I have ever had. I visited while on a family vacation. We were looking for a fun place to take our family, and yet still be affordable. I searched the websites of all of the local restaurants. When I found kinkaku’s, I was pleased to see that kids eat free posted plainly on their menu and a 15% off coupon readily available on their website. I ordered sushi and my family had hibachi. The sushi was terrible. The salmon had a rotten taste and after one bite, I ate no more. Everyone else ordered hibachi, which was so-so. Nothing to write home about. When I got the bill, I noticed the kids’ meal was not taken off the bill and I asked the server about it. She said they don’t do the kids eat free anymore. I mentioned that its still posted on their website and she said they had no control over the website… Fishy….. I asked to speak to a manager and he immediately started shouting at me. He accused me of wanting a free meal. He was so rude, I was shocked. All I asked for was for them to honor what they advertise. The manager would take no responsibility and treated me so poorly. I hate to say it, but don’t waste your money. This place is not worth it and they don’t stand behind their word.

Great price for alot of sushi. Delicious punk rock roll. Very nice atmosphere and employees compared to what else is around.

This place was excellent! I brought my 2 year old and the chef was great with him as well as everyone else. Food was fantastic!

Went tonight at 7:30 Based on reviews on here. It was so dark inside I could not even read the menu. Asked to be moved to a table with more light, the server had taken up residence there to do prep work in the small dining room). The table was very sticky, possibly from the hibachi cooking near by. We were creeped out and left. The server was very nice but we were not comfortable enough to try the food (atmosphere is important when dropping 40-50 for dInner two).

Food was wonderful and the service was even better. The all-you-can-eat sushi are made to order REAL rolls, not like would be on a buffet. If you’re in the area, this is def the place to go! Sit at the sushi bar, and get the volcano roll (also on the all you can eat menu)!

The building doesn’t look like much, but the food is great! All you can eat sushi for $15.95 and it’s fresh and well prepared. I highly recommend it!!
