Fast friendly service and better than average food makes Mel’s a good choice for a quick meal. My only complaint is that the onions with my Liver & onions needed to be cooked much more. They were still crunchy and bitter, not carmilized and sweet. The Banana Split was Great !!!
We were surprised to find a good $5 breakfast special. 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, & 2 pieces of bacon. Most places I’ve ate at in the area are priced for tourists but not only was the price good, all items were delicious too. Hot chocolate, OJ and coffee were great. We were all stuffed when we left.

Mel’s is a good bet for a solid meal; they have some items that are average and some above average. The service has been really genuine and considerate for years. The breakfast here is my favorite part of what they do here.
Old school diner among the commercialized hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge. It has been busy every time we have stopped but not too busy that they can’t still provide good service. The food is good and the value for the dollar is okay. The banana split is fantastic.
We enjoy eating breakfast here every time we come to Pigeon Forge. Food is good and service is great! Very friendly service! You get a lot of food at a great price. Recommend the daily breakfast special!
For diner food, it was really good. Biscuit gravy, bacon, and pancakes were all tasty. Service was extremely fast, and our server Ken was prompt and courteous.
