All I can say is wow!! Party of 4 and everyone tried something different and everything was absolutely superb! Food quality was wonderful! If you love southern food then you will love this place ! The cheesy meatloaf was a favorite!
I am a huge fan of southern comfort foods, so I was not disappointed. We had the ribs, pot roast and fried catfish for entrees; and we had mac n cheese, poppyseed salad, creamed potatoes, sweet potato casserole. The catfish and ribs were awesome! The pot roast was just okay. I would skip out on the poppyseed salad but the creamed potatoes were to die for!!! I don’t give PD’s a 5 only because I’ve had way better southern ways AND I’ve had better at L&S’s in Savannah.Otherwise, really great fun for the family and just a great experience overall. Service and atmosphere were both phenomenal! 16.99 for lunch / 21.99 for dinner (a little pricy, but it’s AYCE and includes dessert)
Very good. But did not know one price for meal, all you can eat but not buffet, and no takeouts or doggy bags. The staff and servers are very nice and attentive. Josie was our server and very good. Too much food for the two us but for group or with kids a great meal.
This is another one that I wish I could give a 3.7 rating. I really like the setup here. It’s a buffet in that it is all you can eat, but you sit at your table and place an order for a family dining experience that happens to be all you can eat…which means that the food is prepared more fresh than a traditional buffet. Hits: best fried chicken I have tasted in a long time. Great southern style pork chops. Awesome green beans, garlic cheesy rolls, hoecakes with sweet potato butter, and desserts.Misses: the pot roast is shredded and just does not feature a good flavor profile. The chicken n dumplins fell really flat. Succotash is way too busy and has my ultimate culinary no-no…filled with tasteless, but texture-gross pimentos. Black eyed peas are busy, too.The food prices are reasonable and service is top notch. What is not reasonable are the retail items on the ground floor Paula Deen store (probably 10K sf)…way overpriced. Finally, be sure to take advantage of call ahead seating. I definitely recommend that you check it out.
The best food in Pigeon Forge. No lie. We called ahead which shaves off half the time. Waited not so patiently another hour for our seats and it was well worth the wait and the price. Same price as another family style restaurant but the quality of food is far superior. The chicken and catfish was delicious!
Having eaten at Lady & Sons in Savannah, I would say the lunch/dinner is on par here as at that establishment. This setup is different in that it isn’t buffet but rather family style. $21.99/adult and $10.99/ages 5-10 for dinner; $14.99 and $8.99, respectively, for breakfast. So come prepared to eat to get the most value for your dollar. (Of the desserts, the ooey gooey butter cake is by far the best.)
Nice gift shop/lobby area to peruse while waiting to be sat. The service is fast and the restaurant is clean. Everything is family style (pick a variety to share with the table); while the food is good, the pre-meal biscuits were probably some of the best biscuits I have ever had. By the time dessert arrives, you can feel your body beginning to slow, gradually becoming sluggish from the mass intake of lipid-soaked foods… but the fat does make it taste good!
