This place got a 4.6 rating (legendary) so we had to try it. We were not disappointed. We both had the Thueringer bratwurst and shared an order of the cheesy frites. They have tons of different sauces to dip your fries in. We had the original, Black Forest, and Cuckoo. And they give you four different bottles of mustard for your brat. I’m telling you, it was very good! Definitely will be coming back here! And the staff was very friendly and wanted to make sure we were pleased. Doesn’t get better then this!
What a great idea a little German restaurant in the smokies. We tried the frites and the bratwurst both were delicious. We had to also sample the spaghetti ice cream it was good as well. The prices seemed a little high but for being in the middle of a tourist area they weren’t that bad. We will be stopping here anytime we visit the area.
Really good brawtwerst in many different variations. The fries are actually really good and hot with many many different dipping sauces to choose from. The ice cream is awesome just watching them make it is a experience. Only downside I wish they had fountain drinks.
The cheese frites with cheese, bacon and jalapeo will feed two people and are worth the price tag! Don’t forget to ask for the mustards for your brats.
A nice stop for a snack in our busy day. Great staff. Hot food, Delicious dips. Even the Yankees fan was nice. Must have been the frites!
We recently moved back to the States after living in Germany for a few years. We definitely enjoyed all the different brats and sausages in Germany and have been missing them, so this place was a welcome sight. I had a grilled weisswurst and it was exactly like I remember from Germany. Our kids had nuremburgers and said the same thing. We walked around The Island, eating our sausages on brotchen – just like we did in Germany.
I just returned from living in Germany outside of Nuremberg, so we were excited to find a little taste of Bavaria here. The place is small but is spot on. Brats were excellent. True Nuremburgers are smaller- but tasted precisely like them. The Germans place 3x together on a roll unlike here, but this place had all the mustards and extras that give it a very close feel (minus the language barrier!). My boys loved them and it was a great flashback to living overseas. Highly recommend!
