If we did not live in Seymour, we would travel to come eat here. Our favorites are the arroz con pollo, mini chimis, enchiladas ranchero, enchiladas suez, and shredded beef chimichanga. What we really appreciate is that they keep the menu fresh. They are not afraid of flavor. The service is always attentive and friendly. The price, a little more than some but always worth every penny! The restaurant is always impeccably clean. We like that there is a variety of seating – booths, tables for large parties, and outdoor patio. Don’t leave before you get the fried ice cream. You’ll probably only need one for the entire table because it is huge. It is saucy and so good.
We just finished lunch and that was the best taco salad I’ve ever eaten! Comes with a small shell of toppings with chopped tomato, guacamole, and sour cream plus a good- sized bowl of queso (white Mexican cheese). Not overwhelmed with lettuce like most places. I ordered the salad with chicken and it came piled with shredded chicken. It was delicious! The restaurant is very spacious and well decorated with a lively Mexican interior. The heavy wooden chairs are painted with Mexican florals and with Palancho carved in the back. Service was great too. Located in a small strip mall, it is much larger than it appears. If you like good Mexican, try Palancho.
