Service was 5 stars! We were greeted with smiles and the workers worked fast to get our orders together. They wished us a good day and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was good, but I wouldnt say great. Cornbread (muffins) and rolls (yeast) good. The meatloaf was like a meat patty with sauce (more like salsa than ketchup.. but the hubby liked it) instead of a loaf. He was happy with taste but portion size was too small. The baked chicken was super tender to the point it was just falling off the bone. Turnips were the best item on the menu! They were flavorful but not spicy. Macaroni was good (creamy like maybe sour cream is a prominent ingredient). Overall, we were happy. Also we had the blueberry and strawberry banana puddings. They were good, but I would say the strawberry flavor wasnt prominent enough.

Just decided to try something new. Food was delicious. I will be going back soon. Staff greeted me with a smile. Prices were great. Made me think off my grandma cooking. I needed that. Location in the town square.

True Home Cookin’. I’ve been to Breaking Bread many times and have never had a bad meal there. No warmed up canned food here….this is a real deal! Their salmon patties are outstanding and the turnip greens are the best in the county. I only wish they stayed open longer so I could pick up food for dinner occasionally.
