Delicious Food, Friendly Service. My family and I have been regulars at El Pueblo for most of the 8 years we have lived in Smyrna. We are there a couple times a month at least. We almost always have very friendly prompt service, especially by the owners and the staff who know us. Occasionally there is a new wait person who is not quite so nice. We are white, for anyone who thinks hispanics get treated better. I have never gotten that feeling. We are consistently happy with the food. I order the shrimp fajitas a lot, and although they occasionally overcook the shrimp, it’s always delicious. If I ever mention that when ordering, the shrimp usually come out perfect. The carnitas are delicious as well as the crispy chicken tacos (with shredded chicken) from the a la carte menu…very fresh, tasty, and very inexpensive. We almost always order guacamole too to dip our chips and add to tacos…yum! The karaoke someone mentioned is only on Fri and Sat nights….the rest of the week, there is just background music. As far as Margarita House, we have given it several good chances and have never been treated very nicely there, so we will continue to frequent El Pueblo, our longtime favorite.

If you think this is the best Mexican food in Smyrna I can’t agree with you. If you just love the staff, the owner and atmosphere I can truly understand, but this is not the best Mexican Restaurant in Smyrna (what do I know, I’m just a gringo.) But hey, if you haven’t been, please go and try it, I seem to be alone in my opinion of the food here.

El pueblo is the best. Manager and assistant are the nicest people ever. Service is great. People shouldn’t complain because other restaurants (American Mexican Asian etc) have u wait up to 40 mins to be seated. El pueblo never has people wait even 15 minutes. Drinks and food are cheap and taste great. Nobody should complain!
I went to El Pueblo tonight, and two groups came in after us. The hostess saw us, but ignored us. There were two Mexicans behind us, and she sat them down first. I am not sure what that was about. I understand it was a Mexican restaurant, but that was uncalled for. We were both a party of two. My wife and I left and went to the Margarita House off of Lowry street, which was great! I will never go to El Pueblo again.
About average. Nothing jumps out at you from here, prices are fair.
