First I want to start by saying if this review was based on customer service, it would be a solid 5 Stars. Cindy was amazing. I have been eating at La Travola since it first entered Smyrna as just Massimos. It has been my favorite restaurant for years and I always requested it for my birthday and anniversary. We came in March 31 for just a spur of the moment date night and I ordered my usual Chicken Marsala. First, I noticed the menu had changed and the Chicken Marsala no longer came with the pasta side. Which was fine, I just requested it and they made the switch easy and painless. Bread came out and it was good, salads came out and was very disappointed to find bottle dressing now being used instead of the housemade dressing. Chicken Marsala came out and looked great minus the excessive amount of oil sitting on top of the sauce and the unbreaded chicken. The entire dish was very bland and I ended up having to add quite a bit of salt. This is definitely not the restaurant it used to be and the food quality has gone downhill. Very disappointed.After posting a review to Facebook I was informed the original owners had sold the restaurant by another reviewer. After that the owner proceeded to argue under the comments which was just very unprofessional. My family and friends who have lived what this restraint used to be will miss it very much and wont be back.
