AM I IN THE WRONG PLACE?. I’ve read the other spooner’s reviews and just didn’t get the same vibe. We ate lunch on Saturday (3/28/15)–steak fajitas.The chips and salsa was bland–really, no spice–and tasted like tomato sauce with specks of something (cilantro hopefully) in the bowl. The sweetened tea was very cloudy and tasted strong (which means to me that it was left over from day before).The fajitas came in a cast iron pan but were not sizzling and they had been off the heat for a few minutes.If that is the best Mexican fare in town, we’d have to move.
Best Mexican Food in town. Vast menu, awesome food, friendly attentive staff, and daily specials even on Saturday. I can’t say enough so I’ll just stop. Just go try it. (Don’t order the large mug of beer if you are driving. It’s really big.)
Our favorite place for Mexican within 30 miles. This little jewel is tucked away in a small strip area in Smyrna but its food and service are wonderful despite the humble location. The place is kept spotless, the waiters are attentive, and the service is speedy. Their daily food & drink specials are a steal ($1 Dos Eques on draft until 9pm, baby). Mi Casino sets itself apart from others because while while they offer the standard Mexican menu fare they also have some more authentic choices. Their tacos authentic with chorizo are awesome). The tortillas soup appetizers is delicious & is plenty to make a meal of.
