Viva La Torta!. There’s a couple of different names and addresses for this place but if you turn left onto Central from Memorial Blvd this place is just past Larry’s on the right. First off, this place is a bakery that serves excellent Mexican breads. It’s serve yourself, load ’em up on the tray and they will bag it for you. As far as eats; they’ve got tortas which are Mexican sandwiches (on their freshly made bread) and they are great and massive. I got the espanola and it was very good. The tacos are soft shell like you’d get from a van in other towns and very good. The huarache is a big fried flat bread with stuff on top (my least favorite). I don’t know any Spanish and the workers there don’t know any English so it’s fun to order and be surprise at what you get. I know now that pollo is chicken and chorizo is pork sausage and lengua is tongue. Check this place out and get a torta and some Mexican bread.
