Everything needs a lot of seasoning. One of the worst shrimp and grits dishes I’ve had. My husband’s brisket wasn’t much better.
Dinner. We took friends advice and dined at Miss Lilly’s Cafe tonight… It was SO Noisy with servers dragging chairs from one place to another while setting up for a large party, our whole dinner experience was ruined. Maybe pick up the chairs would have been more considerate of those trying to have a relaxing dinner after a busy week! The cake could have been good if it wasn’t frozen! Yes, the frosting was one solid piece of frozen lard and the cake had to be cut with a knife it was so cold and half frozen… huge piece and looked great but… couldn’t eat it. Chicken was good, could have used more herbs! flavorless. Potatoes great. Green beans, flavorless. Sever was very nice.With a few tweaks, it could be a greatplace. Definitely, the staff needs to be more considerate of those dining while preparing for others.

Stopped in and glad we did!. We stopped in for lunch today and what a pleasant surprise! We chose well! I had the fried green tomato BLT. Excellent. The whole family loved the food. They got the burger, the Philly steak sandwich and the barbecue sandwich. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The desserts looked great but we were stuffed! Next time!
Food was okay. Not as good as other places we have eaten at. B-
A Required Stop. We always make sure that we have at least one dinner at Miss Lilly’s when staying in the area. Excellent selection of very good food. A particular favorite is the Tilapia!
Fresh, Delightful, Dependable & Yum!. I have had several occassions to enjoy Miss Lilly’s superior food since I do a lot of bike riding in the Townsend area. The fresh food at lunch time, often from a garden you pass right on the property, to the unbeatable Sunday Brunch (Especially when there is a Bar-B-Q Blowout) just can’t be beat. In addition, I was at a private function catered by Miss Lilly and was extremely impressed with all the fresh salads, main dishes (Brisket and Ribs to Kill For) and fresh homemade cakes and deserts that are the best in town. It is always dependably good so I’ll keep parking my bike at the door and having Great Food.
