We were just traveling through the area and decided to stop here for dinner. Apparently known for their burgers, but I was interested in the Shepherd’s Pie and Monte Christo’s. Our waiter was friendly & attentive, as was the manager, who took the time to chat and be sure everything was to our liking. Price was reasonable & food was delicious! Would definitely recommend.
Best burger in town? Eh… It was decent, but it wasn’t anything I could not make at home. The steak fries were miserable, but not as miserable as the service. 7pm on a Friday evening, 7 tables full, 3 of which were eating, 3 were drinks only, and one was for the band, that would sit sporadically because 45min of mic checks were required. Check 1, check 2. 45min worth. Anyhoo, the service was awful. It took about ten minutes to order our drinks; and they came out wrong. The waitress had no interest in being there, or seeing to it that our meal was satisfactory. I don’t see going back here for any reason.
Love it!. Some friends and I saw the name and, upon laughing, decided to go. The atmosphere resembles that of an Old English Pub and really just makes the place. Shepard’s Pie, Fish and Chips, and Burgers were good, but just good. Drinks and music, however, were amazing. Service was great, especially in comparison to most bars I’ve experienced. We’ve revisited many times and it’s always a pleasure. Truly a great Franklin/Nashville experience!
One of the worst experiences at a restaurant. Without a doubt one of the worst experiences my wife and I have ever had at a restaurant. Decided to sit outside since the barmaid told me they had outside service. Ended up getting our own menus while we waited for service. Turns out the service was slow since all the waitstaff was smoking on the corner of the patio! When we did order my dinner was incorrect, my wifes $9 glass of wine was about 1/4 full when they brought it out and I had to go fetch our own silverware. When it came time to pay I had to go inside and find our server (who was on her iPhone) and give her my credit card. She is lucky she got a tip at all. Seriously, with all the great restaurants in Franklin…do not ever go to the Bunganut. I will never give them my money again.
VERY Poor Service & Mediocre Food. This is the third time we’ve tried this hole in the ground, and the last. Each time we’ve been to this place we’ve been charged for drinks we didn’t have, and when we confronted our server the last time, she argued with us that we were wrong! The food is rotten anyway, and I refuse to pay double for the overpriced drinks in this mediocre dump. The hostess has been rude each time we’ve been there, as well as all of the rest of the staff – other than the bar tender guy – he is very pleasant. Save your money, and have drinks at home or some reputable establishment where you don’t have to show proof of the number of drinks you’ve consumed to the thieves double charging you. There won’t be a fourth chance for the Pig to screw us.
We love to go to The Pig to listen to live music. We more often than not also get dinner and have no complaints. Tonight was a totally different story. My husband & I decided to split a burger which are definately big enough for two. We ordered medium rare but what we got was cold on the inside and rare. When we said something to out waiter, who may be the owner, he argued that we got what we got what we ordered. He took it back to the kitchen then came back out to tell us what medium rare is. Well, cold on the inside is not medium rare. He brought the same burger back out well done. I will come back for the music but I will not eat here again. What a jerk!
Love the pig! Great bands and great times! They have a better than average bar menu for sure. Lots of cold beer and a friendly staff. They also have a great outdoor patio, however it is often filled with smokers.
