Stopped in for lunch today. Had the table side guacamole. Excellent. Then I tried the top shelf club quesadilla off of the summer insert menu. It was really good. Service was spot on. Kudos.
Absolute worst service I have received.Seeing how awful the service was, it’s an embarrassment to the restaurant. If you are looking for a good place to eat Mexican food in abilene, I highly recommend Abuelos. It’s well worth the cost.
El Chico. Wonderful place to eat at… Service is wonderful…Food is always good…Love how the manager walks around to assure great service..Will definately be back!!!!
Worst mexican food ever!. My husband and went to El Chico’s for lunch today and thought it would be a great place to try. We usually go to Rosa’s but decided to try something new. We’ve tried other mexican restaurants and havent been impressed yet, the worst until now being el fenix. We ordered off of the specials, I ordered the Carnitas tacos and he orderd a burrito. Both meals taisted pre-cooked, almost like a tv dinner. The food had absolutelly not flavor (no flavor of cummin, salt, pepper, or any hint of authentic mexican flavors), the tortillas were hard, the black beans taisted like canned beans with no salt added and the rice was dry (had to add almost the entire thing of salsa to them). The salsa was sweet and taisted like a generic store brand. The queso taisted like campbells nacho cheese sauce with tomatoes added to it. We were really looking forward to trying something new and we were really in the mood for mexican food but were very much disappointed with the food not to mention the price we paid for the terrible food. The only good thing about the place was the server, she was very nice and prompt.
Good. When I dont eat at Casa Herrera, I eat here. Love the hot sauce and the fajitas. Service is up and down.
Brat centric. The worst service anywhere…we avoid the mall in Abilene it is like visiting a day care center. This place was recommended for date night…don’t both it is like dinning at chucky cheese or a McDonalds play area. Horrid place if your not wanting to be a free child care worker. There is plenty or space in this place to have more intimate dinning near the bar and family friendly dinning in the main dinning area but Abilene is brat centric.
Ate there today slow service, but good food. The service would have been better of all of the employees had their phones put up…
