Great Authentic Mexican Food. Good food, the place is very old school and comfortable setting that is similar too a small town Mexican food restaurant. The food portions are smaller and they don’t have a drink fountain (bottles only).
Good food. Yes it is authentic!!! They are Mexican people dummy!! That’s to the reviewer that says it’s not authentic.I like it. I go on Saturdays for breakfast only. It’s good, better than la popular. Service ok.
El Fenix Cafe. We had high hopes for this place. The restaurant itself is really cute and interesting but everything else was terrible. The hot sauce and chips were disappointing, their guacamole was bland, the queso tasted like they had just melted a two year old block of velveeta, there was big blob of something black and charred in the beans, their cheese enchiladas were boring but somehow still the most greasy enchiladas I have ever had. This was a sad experience to say the least. The only thing good I can say about it was that I enjoyed the Dr. Pepper and it was straight out if a bottle and I had to pay for every refill. Just go to Taco Bueno.

Great Mexican food priced right in this casual restaurant. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgable. All the food was fresh and tasty.
Friday Lunch. Stopped at El Fenix Cafe for a quick Friday lunch. Any enchalada plate is on special for 5.99 at Friday lunch. The beef enchaladas are made with a chile sauce and they also have some chile type meat inside. I wasnt very happy. I was expecting ground beef but got chile. The service was very quick for it being lunch and the waitress was fantastic along with all the other staff. The environment is kinda like everyones favorite hispanic grandmothers house. I enjoyed the environment and service but NO to the beef enchaladas.
