This place is pretty good not gonna lie. It’s a small hole in the wall place but the food is authentic and well cooked. It’s pretty cheap too so it is definitely a good place to try!
I. LOVE. KRUA. THAI. I think it’s the best Thai food in Abilene. I always get the Gang Masaman with chicken and HOLY COW it is always a great choice. I seriously crave Krua every dang day. It’s a problem. It’s definitely worth a try- the spice scale is from 1-5 and I usually go for a 1- I like spicy but am seriously a wimp. 5 is HOT. so choose wisely.
Excellent family-type hole-in-a-wall. The food and service were good. Not much space; don’t take a big group–tables set up for four or two. I plan to return. I don’t know authentic, but I know what is good to me; this is good. Wide variety of selections makes ordering challenging, but also makes me want to return & try another. Good prices, too.
Worst Thai food in the world. My family and I have traveled all over the world and had Thai food in every country we have been in. That said this particular establishment is the absolute worst we have ever, ever, ever had. I ordered the Yum Nua (spicy beef salad) and it was wrong in every way. There were no spices or vegetables other than iceberg lettuce, white onion splashed with vinegar served with tough tasteless beef on top. Awful.My husband had the yellow curry and we ordered the beef Pad Gra Prow for my daughter. These were not as bad but the weren’t good either. Even the dipping sauce that came with the nearly empty fried spring rolls wasn’t good. The shop was filthy as well. So dirty. Please don’t go here.
Best Thai in Abilene! Great and friendly service. The Chicken Noodle Soup is by far my favorite. Seating area is limited in restaurant, but pick up service is quick.
I LOVE Krua Thai. The owner often picks on me for ordering the same thing every time: Thai Spring Rolls, Yellow Curry (AMAZING) and the sweet sticky rice with banana. I can’t help but to keep ordering the same thing because it’s just sooooo yummy! And a great price for the amount of food as well. If you haven’t tried the yellow curry yet, I encourage you to! I have yet to have yellow curry that delicious elsewhere.
My husband brought me here to try Thai food for the first time and I LOVED it!!! We got Spring Rolls and the Chicken Satay for appetizers and they were amazing!! I definitely recommend those. Then we both got the Pad Thai for entree and ordered it hot. It was great and super spicy like we like it and they didn’t skimp out on the meat. Very small dining room but staff was very friendly. We will definitely be going back!!!
