THERE WAS A ROACH IN THE PEPPERMINT BOWL. FOOD IS AWFUL, SUCH A DIRTY RESTAURANT!! SAVE YOURSELVES. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!! SERVER THREW BUG IN TRASH AND USED HAND SANITIZER. NASTY.
Passing through going and coming from West Texas we decided on Little Italy. In the 30 plus years I’ve worked in and around Abilene this spot had never caught my fancy.Friday night I chose the Chicken Marsala. This is a go to dish that I use to judge against other Italian restaurants. The Chicken Marsala was absolutely amazing. It really hit the spot and I might peg it at the top or near top of all time.Lunch today was the Stromboli. It was good but not heated clear through. It was huge and that might well be the problem. The dough was perfect, so I’ll blame the size for the lack of consistency. The service was great for both visits. Will I return? Yes, but I’m thinking Chicken Piccata will be the direction rather than Stromboli or a Calzone.
Great food & great service. Can’t wait to go back.. I had the shrimp and clams with white wine sauce and linguine with a glass of chardonnay and it was amazing. My best friend had the egg plant parmesan with a beer and he was very happy as well. The waiter was very knowledgeable and the whole experience was awesome.
Great Food. I love this place! Anything with the pink sauce is my favorite! Service used to be really slow but it’s much better now and they added some new desserts too. I’m not a huge fan of the Alfredo sauce but everything else I’ve tried has been good so far.
One word-Awesome pink sauce.
Food was average. House salad dressing is overpowering to point where it ruins the salad. Our service was some of the worst we have had. I had to ask for my salad, had to tell the sever 3 times which dressing I wanted, was never offered a refill in drinks, the wife had about 1/2 of a Stromboli left so we asked for a to go box and a to go side if marinara sauce. We got the box and was charged $1.50 for the sauce that never came. Will not be going back.
Good italian in Abilene. The main courses are delicious. They have a good variety of sauces. Eaten here many times since moving to Abilene and we have enjoyed virtually every dish. They emphasize their chicken dishes, and the chicken is always tender, but they also have good veal (and the veal can be ordered in place of chicken for any dish if you want). Nice relaxed atmosphere. Some tasty entrees include the Chicken Cremora and any dish with their pink sauce. The salad bar isn’t that great, but does come free with meals. Also, the oil for the bread is made different every time. Occasionally it is just okay but usually it is quite yummy, regardless of the differences in preparing it.
