NEGATIVE: I wish I could give a rating below 0. I went to the LJS on N. 1st about 30 minutes before closing time. The parking lot and the restaurant were empty. I went through the drive thru whereI waited for about 10 minutes before an attendant asked for my order. The attendant was the manager. I gave her my orderwhichwas something simple like anumber 2 with a coke. She acted like she was out of it. I had torepeatmy simple order 3 times before she finally understood. I was actually concerned for her, like maybe she just lost her mother and her mind wasn’t there. So, I drive to the window and pay for my order. I have to wait another 5 to 10 minutes before she gave me my food. I just assumed it took so long becausethey had to drop the fish and fries in the fryer. I get home and the orderwas wrong, andthe food had just been sitting under a hot lamp asthe food wasonly slightly warm and the fries were soft. I called the manager to complain. She told me to bring the food back for an exchange. I told her that I just wanted my money back and I would bring the food back the next day. I take the food back the next day and was told that they cannot give me my money back but they can give me another meal. I asked for the supervisor’s contact info. The manager said she didn’t know who the supervisor is. I’ve never been to a LJS since. I don’t know how they stay in business. Maybe they are dealing drugs out of this location? The few times I went inside the restaurant, it was nasty. Grease stains all over. Dirty tables. The food usually taste like it was cooked in old cooking oil. Just NASTY!!! LOL and the food is way overpriced. They couldn’t give me their food for free.

Next time I’ll just buy it at the store and keep my seafood in the freezer for when I am craving it again. I’m retired food service, the food tastes like the oil is old, dirty and not up to temp for the frying. I brought my order home and immediately placed it on a doubled paper towel in the oven, 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Sure pulled a lot of the grease out, but couldn’t get rid of the old grease taste. I’ve been to many different LJS’s, this by far is the worse one ever. So save your money, and buy from the grocery. I plan on contacting the manager also.

Yelp other burger joints in town found Larry’s better burger but it’s farther then I actually wanna go decide to stop by long john silver’s/ A&W instead worst mistake of my life. Now I’ve been to other locations one in Cabazon, California with just the A&W and the other located between San Antonio and San Marcus with both establishments and experiencing those I knew that it would satisfy my craving and too I could get a delicious root beer float to go with the meal. Walking into this place it smelled like Walmarts restrooms the tables hadn’t been wiped down in a while, but their was quite a few people eating in there so I said why not I’m already here. The gentlemen at the counter was polite even when my husband sent back his burger for stale bun he was very apologetic and corrected the problem, food quality is lacking big time the popcorn shrimp was nothing special breading over the shrimp wasn’t even crispy looked as if they dump a few shrimps from the bag right over my plate , french fries were mediocre at best taste old definitely had been there awhile. I probably won’t be coming back to this location again.
Terrible. This place sucks! The food it overly greasy, doesn’t taste good, the rootbeer tastes nothing like any A&W rootbeer I’ve ever had. Fountain drink machine is nasty, just not a good place to eat. We were there in the summer of 2008 and decided to give it a try in early 2009 but it was the same gross food as before. We’ll never visit this LJS again!
