Livin’ on past laurels. Texas steak house that cannot serve good steak – over cooked, under cooked, thin, tough! Steaks all over cooked and way over seasoned. Asparagus limp not tender crisp and also way over flavored with same seasoning used for steak. Second go around on steak still not right. $175 blown for 3 people [includes ca$30 for a pretty good bottle of wine]. No one on staff knew anything about wine. Portobello also heavily seasoned with – again – you guessed it – same seasoning as used for everything else. Horrid meal. Service apologetic to nth degree for slop coming out of kitchen. Kitchen personnel needs replacing. Place needs a more than one seasoning chef. Dessert menu so lacking that we did not even bother. Rather went downtown to Abi Haus for their superb creme brulee. Will not return to this place.
My husband and I eat here regularly but on this particular visit we ordered our food to go so we could enjoy it at home. We got the Sharons Ribeye medium rare, a side salad, a loaded baked potato and a side of sauted mushrooms. The steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Everything else was just as good as it usually was. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves steak as much as we do!!
Excellent service, good drinks, and very tasty food! Our waitress was so friendly and efficient. I ordered a cactus juice and it was pretty good. My boyfriend and I both ordered half and half. Our steaks were super tender and the chicken was spiced perfectly. I had green beans and rice pilaf for sides. I normally hate southern style green beans but I was surprised at how tasty these were.
Great if you like raw oysters (obviously from a can) served in little plastic specimen cups. Horrible. Really awful.
Salt overload and undercooked baked potatoes
User reviews. Fajitas were steak bits and pieces. Had absolutely no flavor. Chicken fried steak was tough as boot leather. I doubt we’ll be back.
