I saw the most disgusting thing at this restaurant that I have ever seen. Sitting at the table directly in front of me was a girl who was obviously known to the staff. One Waitress came over to talk to her and took some food off of her plate with her hand and ate it, then played with the girls hair. Her waiter then came up and hung out for a bit and he also ate some of her food with his hand. The absolute worst was when a Bussboy she must have known, who was wearing rubber gloves and cleaning tables and the floor came over and grabbed some chips off of her table and ate them while wearing his filthy rubber gloves. I saw him do this three different times. My waitress asked me if I wanted to order dinner. I told her absolutely NO. This is the most filthy restaurant I have ever been in. Disgusting, Gross. How many Bussboys stuck their disease ridden gloves into other peoples food? I asked my waitress if the restaurant had any rules against this. She said she had no idea. I think that tells me a lot! This restaurant obviously does not train their staff at all. Bussboys putting their hands directly into food while wearing rubber gloves. Suggestion – start by firing your manager who obviously was asleep somewhere.
Very delicious recommendation from a car salesman. Traveled from Oklahoma to purchase a car and had never been to the area. It was definitely a good choice. The building is gorgeous and well decorated, even the bathrooms. The food was amazing after a long day on the road. Tried the Fluffy taco and rotisserie chicken enchilada. They’ll bring you out what looks like ranch but it’s some sort of sour cream and black olive with spices blend. Very unique and great on the chips. Must try if you’re in the area. Thumbs up.
Have the chocolate tacos. YumThe food was good. Had chicken and shrimp fajitas. Both chicken and shrimp were good but the shrimp was delicious.
I wasn’t impressed at all. I had a high end plate. Couldn’t taste the difference between the Portobello mushrooms, and the steak. Also my ranchero sauce was sweetened with sugar. Not good.
Miguel’s is AWESOME. What a beautiful place! And the food is wonderful, not your everyday TexMex, but MexTex with great flair. Have eaten there three times now, and every time it was a real treat. The Puffy Tacos are really good, and different and filling (really one is enough, but with the ‘special’ 2 for only a dollar more, you have supper too). Love the salmon, I usually won’t try it because I have had it be bad at so many places but it was wonderful. I also recommend the Mexican Street Corn. Wow! And both (had to try’em) the Miguel’s Mojito and the Black & Blue Mojito were both delish. Both deserts I have tried were great! The detail in the building is the most amazing I have ever seen, simply perfect. Hard to get a seat if you come at regular evening hours, but for lunch went about 11:15 and was seated immediately.
Not sure if it will make it. Lots of complaints about menu choices. Spaghetti/pizza/licorice flavor enchilada sauce. Salsas have no heat. Waitress said she could take red salsa back and make it hotter. Still no heat. Dry bean, bacon, cheese side. Mediocre flavored dishes. Tiny silver bowl with smoky corn dish – some like – some hate – wait staff doesn’t know what is. You have to know to order habanero sauce – which is Very hot but better flavor. Enjoyed spinach mushroom avocado enchilada and chili relleno but dining partners food tasted terrible. One salsa tasted like ranch dressing. Others described as black olive ranch. There were no olives or olive flavor in mine. Waitress said one salsa tasted like pineapple. She never mentioned it was tomotilla sauce. If owners knew what was being said on Facebook they would be horrified at the months of work and money they have poured in. Happy hour prices are too high for pints. Place looks nice but food is a big disappointment to Abilene residents.
