Nope. Disappointing.. This place does NOT serve any lunch/dinner food. Just a few muffins and cookies. The coffee is watered down and unreasonably pricey for the quality. There is also no free wifi. I came on a Friday night to have dinner and get some studying done, and I did neither, left after 5 minutes.
Local love. We monks!!! they are friendly and have delicious coffee. sometimes it is a bit over run with college students, but still one of our favorite hang outs! our fave ….. royal breve!!! yum!!!
More like CRAPpuccino. There was NO foam. At all. I didn’t want a latte, if I did I would have asked for one. I took it back and asked her to put more foam-she just plopped some on top. I told her it was okay to dump some out, but she didn’t put any more on top. Maybe I am expecting a little too much by way of Abilene’s coffee scene. BUT if you are a coffee shop and don’t know what a Cappuccino is, you should really do some research, and teach your baristas what’s what. I could just be a coffee snob, but if you own a coffee shop, you should be one too.
All Around Great!. I would have had a coffee-but I was to caffeinated,So I had my sugarfix with a strawberry/banana smoothie—The balance of my world became perfect (caffeine/sugar ratio) ! Great Service-Great Drink-Great Atmosphere!—Thank You

Great stuff.. Monks is hands down the best place to chill in abilene.the atmosphere is very laid back and the coffee is nothing but the best. its a great environment to hang out and study.i would definitely say this is the place to be- if you ever find yourself in abilene.
