Best BBQ in Abilene and I mean it. I’ve tried every single BBQ restaurant and Stillwater stands out among the crowd. They really got everything down pat at Stillwater. Haven’t had anything bad from them yet, and I’ve got a feeling I never will.
Ordered 2 meat plate with 2 sides….didn’t get much for my money. ($16) A small piece of sausage and 2 slices of meat. Also had brisket mac n cheese which was so over cooked it was like one big noodle. Beans were average. Meat was very good….too bad they don’t gove you more.
Excellent BBQ! Served simply on brown butcher paper right on tray, with sides in paper trays. I had the pork ribs plate with brisket baked beans and potatoe salad. Wife had sausage and brisket plate with brisket baked beans and brisket macaroni and cheese. Everything was fantastic! Ribs had a good smokey bark with tender meat that wasn’t dried out. Beans were prepared with their homemade sweet BBQ sauce and shredded brisket. Potatoe salad was your normal yellow variety – not bad, but nothing special about it either. The sausage was good. The brisket had good smoke flavor, and was very juicy and tender. Without question, the best brisket I’ve had. Period. The brisket Mac and cheese was really good. As simple as it is, most places don’t serve a good Mac and cheese. These guys nailed it! The Mac would have been good by itself, but the brisket mixed in took it over the top! I’ll get that instead of the potatoe salad next time. They keep two types of BBQ sauce at the tables. One is sweet, the other is tangy. Both are good and appear to be homemade. Definitely not run of the mill stuff from Ben E. Keith Foods. As with any family-run BBQ joint dealing with high meat prices right now, their prices reflect the cost. For two plate specials we spent $27.We will definitely be going back!
Best BBQ I’ve ever had! Stopped in during all you can eat ribs; paid less than $13 for a whole lot of deliciousness! Can’t wait to go back.
Best BBQ in town!. Voted the best bbq in town and I believe it! Average prices, I don’t feel they are over priced, you get a ton of food. I usually end up sharing or taking food home. Meat is always tender, the sauce on the table seems watered down.
Not Overpriced!. Not sure where Acepawpad got their info but Pork Ribs go for $14.00 per pound at this time.
Overpriced. The BBQ is only so-so and way over priced. $22.50 for a pound of pork rubs is just rudely over priced.
