Fairly good Italian place, with a charming and well decorated interior, and a great outdoor patio that made all the difference for our party of 8. I had the spaghetti Bolognese, and it was pretty good, perhaps not as good as one’s Grandmother’s, but pretty high up there. My colleagues had various meals, from veal to seafood pasta, and they were all rating their dishes between 7 and 8. So all in all, a pretty solid place, with excellent presentation and ambiance, and with reasonable prices for the area. We have better Italian restaurants in Montreal, but I think for a city known mostly for its BBQ, meat, and Tex-Mex food, this is a pretty good choice for an affordable semi-upscale Italian dinner date.
Chef Antonio is back! Pasta are rustic and yummy. The bolognaise was a hit with my kids. Gorgonzola gnocchi was lovely and filling. We had the pork shank appetizer for one of my boys. Another must try is the seafood fettuccine in white wine sauce. A romantic restaurant but so welcoming, it’s also a neighborhood family place. ittybittyfoodies.com
