    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>>>>> The BJ Bar,<<<<< when staffed by a certain Lady Bartender is a bore to Good Service and Good Cheer. That certain Middle-Aged Woman is Drab Looking, has Dirty Hair, Dirty Fingernails and Grudgingly Consents to Working there. Management knows all too well about this poor waitstaff person – she must have something on them, as anywhere else – she'd be long gone. Just imagine,.. a nice upscale bar on Beltline in Addison having two customers on a Friday Afternoon! Word must have gotten around… or maybe not ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Clockwork Service & Very Good Burger. Visit on 11/21/13 – What a different experience this go around. The service was clockwork and choreographed out of a well scripted playbook. The upselling is ever present. The host asks if I am a reward member right after hello with all the implications if I am not a member. After being seated I am offered a custom brew. Upon turning it down I’m offered calamari or other appetizer. At the end, I am offered a Pazookie. These upsells work, but it is annoying.The corporate service and passive aggressive upselling aside, the burger was phenomenal. I ordered the black and blue cheese burger. I have a whole burgerology process going with over 50 restaurants evaluated. This burger easily lands in the top quarter. I would put it in my top 10 if the bun had not fallen apart in the process. I believe they use fresh meat that they smash just as they cook it. The blue cheese and tomato were full flavor and in every bite. The amount of grease that ran out was too much. I’m sure it added to the flavor, but it ruined the bun. If they used a more hardy ciabatti or the like, this burger would be steller.The fries fell way short. I was offered wedge or crispy stick. I chose the crispy stick. I did not enjoy them and left them on the plate. On my next visit to have that burger, I will try the wedge fries.Original 10/9/13 Post Removed – I received a very polite and well thought out e-mail from the managing director asking I give them another try. I did. See above. Thank you for taking the time to care.
    Very Large Menu. BJs is the type of restaurant you need to be prepared to spend some time from the time you enter until you leave. You will start with one of the largest most complex menus anywhere at this type of a restaurant. There were approximately 26 pages, more or less. Finding the page from which to decide was the first challenge and then finding the item on that age was the second challenge. I have no ideal how they manage to keep all of those products fresh and ready to serve. There are dozens and dozens of entrees. When I commented about this to the waiter he replied, I agree and about like the Cheesecake Factory.Well after several minutes of reviewing and getting over the initial shock our group attempted to regroup and place an order. By the way the prices are not inexpensive at this place so expect to pay a little more for what you get. I ordered the chicken fried steak which came with a side order. The steak was rather small fro the price ($13.50). In fact I had one a few days later that was two to three times larger for about $4 less. Go figure! While the steak was good there was nothing about it that one could say it was outstanding or fantastic. Another in out party had the Parmesan Chicken and they liked it very much.The service was good bot no more than just good. You know at exactly the 15% tip level. I like this place and will, eventually get used to the menu and prices.
    Don’t Waste Your Time or Money. Ate lunch there today – arrived fairly early at 11:15 AM & the place was empty. It took over 30 minutes to get our sandwiches & they arrived cold (not good for brats & burgers..)Service was even worse than the food – we had to get back to work so the server charged our cards before our food came. We weren’t even offered refills on our tea – just excuses! Definitely a waste of time & money – I will never go back let alone recommend it to anyone.
