BRISKET TACOS are the bomb, I actually ate here two days in a row, the chips & salsa were steady & tasty. It’s a chain, I think a solid spot, with more time in Dallas I’d of hunted for a hole in the wall but you can’t go wrong here. I also ate at the Greenville location, my guests had a hard time finding parking on a Mon at 7:45 but by 8:15 no problem. Good service & both the frozen & special skinny margarita were
Sarachi quesadilla was amazing. Fresh tortillas for the fajitas. Beef Fajitas were just ok, nothing special. Overall a nice Tex-Mex dinner.
Great Food & Atmosphere – Inconsistent Service. I love Blue Goose. Each location has a unique feel, but they all use the sky blue color in some fashion. They each have an old back-country feel, but look clean and well kept. Service is inconsistent. Our server was lackluster and not very friendly. Neither was the host or chip delivery guy; however, I watched a different server taking care of the table next to us. What a difference. He was happy, helpful and chatty.Food at Blue Goose is always good. I love the queso. It has flavors added that remind me of chipotle. The Tex Mex Nacho’s were heavily layered with meat and cheese on each tortilla. The Fajita Chicken Quesadilla was great. I could taste the smoke flavoring in the chicken. My wife’s spinach chicken (Blue Goose) quesadilla was just as good. Great place that would be even better if every employee wore a smile and made the experience pleasant.
Quick and Cheap!. My boyfriend and I go here for the fajitas, queso, and a margarita or beer when we want something cheap, quick, and filling. We easily walk out with around a $20-25 tab within 35-40 minutes. The flour tortillas are fresh, and the chips and salsa are great. I cannot account for any of their other food, but I have always enjoyed my experience.
Ate dinner last night… We both had the enchilada special. My wife had the cheese enchiladas and I had the sour cream chicken variety and they were both very tasty. The case so with taco me was a nice appetizer. I thought the prices were extremely economical by DFW standards. Our waiter, Hector, is a stud. May go back tonight for fajitas.
Ehhh it’s ok.. It’s ok. I was expecting A LOT more after reading the reviews. We had the combination fajitas, blue goose quesadillas, and a margarita. Nothing was spectacular. The chicken was tender and pretty good but not out of this world. For the person driving from OKC to Blue goose for fajitas.. drive to Casa Sota’s in Weatherford, OK. It’s just delicious! There frozen margaritas and fajitas are 10x better than this place. It wasn’t bad.. I just was hoping for so much more.
I’ve enjoyed the Goose since the early days on Greenville. The Addison store is good too.My only complaint is the tortilla machine in the middle of the dining room. This was something cool in 1988 but now, when seated next to it on a day that its 104, this monstrosity is a relic worthy of a sledgehammer, especially since I wasn’t given any.TexMex purists may frown on the use of sharp cheddar in the cheese enchiladas instead of the more common American. I like it. I also prefer my onions as served: raw, chopped, and on top of the excellent chile con carne. The soft cheese taco is very good as well.
