Our go to place.. Wonderful food and service. An involved chef who makes delicious creative dishes. It is small and personable.
Excellent food. The place is small but comfortable and very good atmosphere. The owner and chef himself cooks for you and mixes all his ingredients with the greatest flavor and taste. Must go place if you like to try different flavors and dishes.
Hard To Please (New Coog Spot). I have been looking for a new spot so grab a bite and found this nook. The name is misleading and is the reason why I avoided it (my boyfriend is Vegetarian) but they even had choices for him. I LOVE this place and am getting my friends to go. The customer service is also really nice and the prices are amazing. Beats Niko Niko’s and matches Aladdin’s on Montrose in taste but beats there prices.
Best Steak Ever. You are missing out if you have never been here. The steaks melts in your mouth and is accompanied by the most wonderful pomegranate creme sauce that is to die for. The experience makes you feel as you are their only customer by them opening the door for you and always attentive to your needs. Chef Gorji personally extends the warmth of this restaurant by personally visiting every table. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you were looking for an exceptional night out.
Gorji and his food both fun. Not only are the dishes here inventive and beautiful, but they also taste great. Chef Gorji keeps the restaurant small enough that he can come out personally as each guest finishes eating to make sure you completely enjoyed what he made for you…and he is as much a joy as his food.
Warm and cozy gem. The reviews posted above are really out of date. The Canary Cafe serves wonderful Mediterranean dishes, steak and seafood. The menu offers many delicious and original opportunities for adventurous dining, and the chef prepares each order personally. Some of my favorites are the beef anar, the lamb kabobs, and the Mediterranean Catfish. All this and a lovely selection of boutique wines. It hasn’t served Japanese in years, and is now open for dinner only.
