I being vegetarian, had I missed on Flavors, I could have missed many things on many counts. Not was the ambience and service good, mainly the food have me reasons to dine for both lunch and dinner during entire short stay in Addison. Even my colleagues from Addison enjoyed a total Indian experience along with me. Too good.
Not Sure Why This Place is Empty. We showed up at 5:30 on a Sunday for dinner. Although I realize it was early and it was Sunday night, it was strange that the entire time we were there, only one other table was occupied. It is clear this place is known for their lunch, but otherwise it is a ghost house.Nevertheless, we tried it anyways. Surprisingly, the food was good. The paneer was a bit hard for our taste and the koftas were just mashed potatoes without many other veggies. But the gravies for all of our orders were cooked well and tasty. Even the Palak Paneer was cooked with little to no cream, which is significantly better. The other nice thing is that they give you the option of rice or naan with the meal. Since our family are not huge rice eaters, we were able to split the naans and the rice and not have to over-order, which can be typical in other Indian restaurants.Overall a good experience. I just wish there were more people there.
Rude!. Dinner food potion is plenty for birds and fish. Not for human. 2 scoops and you are done. Please learn from Mayuri or Our Place where they actually serve the right portion. Dont know how to split the ticket among customers. Not everyone is rich enough to pay in asingle ticket for a group of 10 or more. Throwing the bill booklet on the counter to show your attitude will definitely bring you more customers. NOT!
If you’d like to sample authentic Indian cuisine, this is the place to go. We ordered (a la carte) North Indian Mughalai dishes (I believe this is their speciality) and were delighted with how FRESH and delicious everything was. With a reasonably priced menu and great in-house ambience, this place is definitely worth a visit. We only wish the hosts would have more enthusiasm to go with great food they serve.
Tastes an American can love!. I’ve been to a couple Indian restaurants and this is the first one where I really liked everything I tried. My boyfriend is from India and he says it’s just like home. I can’t wait to go back! 😀
My first Indian food experience..Very good. Authentic cuisine. great service.
Good Lunch buffet. I travel a lot and make a point to eat the lunch buffet here whenever I’m in Dallas. Good selection, decent price service is ok, but I go back again and again for the food. There is always a large local crowd, which usually means the place has a following. I highly recommend Flavors.
