Don’t do it. Horrible food – dirty and run down- over priced.
Second chance. ..still was awful. Place is old and nasty and smelly. Bathrooms both times were awful..should have left then…both times the waiters sucked. And the food really was awful…both times. Never again.
Fun place, good food. The best part about this place is obviously the atmosphere. Our kiddos LOVED IT. Our waitress (Pocahontis) was very upbeat and sweet. The fried catfish was good. The dinner portions weren’t huge, but the salad bar was unlimited. Be sure to walk around the restaurant after your dinner – it’s really a neat place. We probably won’t eat their all the time, but we’ll definitely stop by next time we’re in Dallas.
Go Back in Time and Tell Me Not to Go!. A few weeks back, my husband and I went to Magic Time Machine in Addison. For those that do not know, the waiters and waitresses are dressed in costume. We saw some fairy tale characters and several characters from movies including Lara Croft and our server, Nacho Libre. We knew that the focus of the restaurant is for entertaining children, but we were hopeful that we would enjoy it also. Unfortunately, the highlight of the night was while we were waiting for our table at the bar. You walk into the restaurant and are greeted with grandma house smell, and bad lighting. The bathrooms were lit with red, green, and blue lights. I think to try and hide that the bathrooms needed to be cleaned. We had about 16 people in our group, but we could not make a reservation because they only do that for parties 25 or larger. When we did get a table half our party was at one table and the other 6, myself included, squished into a booth for 4. Our server took our order, and then led us to the salad car/bar. It was one of the saddest salad bars I have seen in my life. CiCis Pizza salad bar is larger and has a better variety. Then there were the entres… One of my friends spent a good chunk of money on a plate, called The 3 by 4 Trio. The description sounded wonderful: beef tenderloin in bacon, with chicken, and shrimp also in bacon. He was nice and shared the shrimp, the bacon was a bad combination of fatty and chewy, and the shrimp itself was flat. Not to mention, the tenderloin was miniscule and overcooked.I ordered the Pasta Primavera, which is linguine with vegetables in a marinara sauce. It was sad, the only reason it was slightly warm was because it sat under the heat lamp too long, making the pasta on top firmer than the rest. The vegetables that were there were not seasoned and bland. They waved marinara sauce over the pasta, from the miniscule amount of sauce on the pasta I was able to determine that a jar of Walmart brand plain sauce has more seasoning in it than this dish. My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana, which was equally unimpressive. Long story, short: the food is low quality, poorly prepared, and overpriced. The one shining light: plenty of space at the bar, where the drinks were inexpensive, and generously poured. You cant order meals at the bar, but you can get appetizers, not that I would recommend it.
Fun For Kids and Adults. Its fun for kids because there are places to watch magic shows, super heroes, princesses, and lots of different characters. It is fun for adults because there is a nice bar upstairs and a nice lunge area.
Cute atmosphere if you like musty basement odor. Very dark too. The food sucked. It was overpriced and barely edible. I left a full plate of chicken parm on my table. Save your money, go somewhere else.
Best part of my trip to Dallas!. My little girls were so happy that I didn’t care about the $100 ticket 😉 this may be a place that once is enough though.
