Horrible. Burger was dry and overcooked – needless to say it was also tasteless. The fries also were lacking in flavor. Service was slow and poor. I was very disappointed – would have got a better burger at McDonalds. Don’t know if it is the Addison location or not – have friends who think Smashburger is great but don’t like the Addison location. It was my first visit, I definately won’t go back to Addison store – will have to think long and hard about trying a different store. There are much better burger places out there.
Better Hamburgers In Town. We wanted to see what all the hype was about Smashburgers so we visited the Addison location. First parking is a real issue at lunch time however after circling the parking lot a few times we managed to find a space. Upon entering the establishment you will be hit immediately by the noise level. Just has to be one of the noisiest restaurants in Addison. Dont get in the wrong line (one for take out and the other form dining in) as you may be yelled at. We were!!! Then there are the employees and the one guy floating around and yelling about not sitting at a table until you have placed your ordered. We did not find one friendly employee in the place. There is a hustle to get you in and out as quickly as possible. We ordered the Classic Burger which came with American Cheese. lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and catsup plus smash sauce whatever that is. We attempted to seat ourselves after placing the order and found numbered cards on every empty table. Apparently the floater displays those signs discouraging customers from sitting until they have their order. The only problem is that your order is delivered to your tablewe got ours in 6 minutes. We could only find a counter seat available , at least ones without signs on them. The burger was nothing to write home about. The ads states the burgers are 100% angus beef and I assumed they were. The way they are smashed the outsides of the burgers will probably be crisply (as ours was) and the inside a little thicker. All in all it was just a burger patty. The special sauce was not that tasty and I should have ask that it be left off. Soft drinks, you get yourself, and you can refill your glass. However the floater I mentioned earlier, came by our seats several times to see if we were through eating. Kind of annoying as the place was very busy and he wanted to free up seats as soon as possible. Thus dont think you are going there for a leisurely lunch, as that wont happen. The restaurant offers seven different burgers, each one having a distinctive flavor or additional ingredient, such as avocado or bacon, etc. Regular burgers cost $4.99 and most of the others $5.99. Would you believe there is a tip basket at the cash register and if you are like me you just ignore those. They also offer chicken sandwiches, salads, hot dogs and sides. Forgot about the veggie burger. Frankly I can name a lot of other places that have a tastier hamburger and some at a lower price. At least we took a look and will probably choose another location the next time.
If you like salt. WAAAAAY too much salt on the burger. Not sure how you can burn the out side while the inside remains raw. Slow to cook the order. Did I mention the salt yet? Much better burgers can be found. Skip it.
Bomb Burger!. By far the best burger i’ve had in a loong time!! The meat was uneven, hanging over the wonderful egg bun…It was juicy with a great flavor! The service here was attentive, polite, and speedy! This is now my FAVORITE burger joint in Addison!
I heart smashburger!. Fingerlicks: 10Table-side manner: 8Home of the best burger I’ve eaten, the Spicy baja burger. To die for. And their smash fries, with olive oil and rosemary seasoning, are out of this world. diningwithdeliajo.com
Delicious!!! I love the Mushroom Burger & Sweet potato fries!!
Great Burger & Open til 10pm Every Night. Not the best burger in Dallas, but maybe best in Addison. Burgers are large and good. A little greasy, but good greasy. Chili cheese and sweet potato fries are great as well. Consistent taste and service. New favorite place.
