I love this place. The food is fantastic and the staff is friendly. The atmosphere is swanky with that Mad Men kind of feel. I could stay here for hours, just taking in the live music and sidecar drinks. Sidecars! No one else I have ever found knows of them, not to mention how to make them. I will be back, and often.

We ended week two of Restaurant Week at Table 13, and neither of us had been there before so we didnt know what to expectOm: Dont let the boring exterior fool you, this place is pretty nice on the inside small but nice. Neat to have live music even on a Sunday night, some kind of jazz-type sound that fit the atmosphere. Lots of black leather seating around, Nom is more of an expert on that kind of stuff. We had onion rings to start, and they were just ok I thought. Way too much breading, not crispy, not much taste. I appreciate the effort to make something different, but they fell flat for me. The salad had a nice presentation, but more bland than flavorful. They provided bread after the rings and salad, four smallish slices with some kind of lemon butter, which I would have preferred more normal butter. The main dish was up next, and they get credit for the filet! It was cooked perfectly, very easy to cut, and was not chewy in the least! The mashed potatoes that came with it tasted almost like they came out of a box, was hoping for something better. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake type thing, which was tasty.but again I just felt like it was lacking something. I could have put strawberries in a wine class, but a piece of shortcake on top, put some whipped cream on that, and got the same taste. Service was very good all night. Overall it was a good visit and glad we tried somewhere new, it was just average in too many areas to make me long to come back anytime too soon. Nom: The exterior of Table 13 is very deceptive! Once you walk inside its almost like descending into an uber cool bunker complete with Vargas pin-ups. The seating is very retro with a modern flair. Dont get me wrong there is nothing old in this place, not even the retro satellite lighting. I can imagine a table full of once famous departed Vegas singers sitting around drinking martinisThen we ordered. We started with the onion rings and I was really disappointed. I dont like bland thick breading but thats what I got and the onion inside was not a tasty sweet onion so no points there. We abandoned the rings well before we would have finished them. Ok, so next I had the tomato soup with a grilled cheese crouton. Score! There it was. A delicious tomato soup and what a brilliant slice of grilled cheese. Now was it worth the costprobably not because it reminded me very much of La Madelines tomato soup. The filet was sublime! Cooked perfectly and fork tender. I was so excited I scooped up some mashed potatoes. Big mistake. They really did taste like boxed potatoes. The chocolate cake was really really good. I could make a meal just out of steak and cake! Would we go out of our way again for Table 13 probably not because it fell short and average in too many areas when there are so many great restaurants around!

Left and went to McGuires where service with Veronica was amazing!!!!17 Jan, 2015The worst service I have experienced in a long time. Starting at the host stand. Inexcusable . We walked out!

Terribly disappointing. Terrible service, Steak au Poivre tasted like an over cooked sirloin.

New best dining experience in DFW. So we go out a lot .. and lately its a struggle to find places where the experience, the food and the service match the typically high prices… tonight at table 13 we were pleasantly surprised .. great food .. great service .. great live entertainment… and at the end of the night the bill didnt scare us. not since sullivans didnt make it through the recession have we seen a restaurant.dinner club in north dallas where everything works … loved it and we will be back very soon!

Too many other great restaurants to return – bad service / ice cold food / unresponsive mgmt. Had 6:30 reservation Saturday night (restaurant 1/4 full) three of 4 meals sent back . Wait staff poorly trained. (Bread basket forgotten , wine glasses not removed, water glasses never filled ) 2 cocktails returned too. Final meal served at 8:20 pm. What a mess of a restaurant. Waiter blamed slow service on a 10 top that came in after we did. Over-priced.
