Lovely ambiance, friendly service and fresh, authentic Thai food. The Thai shrimp basil was outstanding, but order a spiciness of one unless you can tolerate a lot of heat.
I was extremely underwhelmed with Thai Orchid. When we got there we were seated immediately but were then asked to move to another table so they could seat more people. This wouldn’t have been a big deal but we had to move our own drinks, forks and menus. Sorry but for a nice place like this I would have expected a little more respect and customer service than what we got, kind of felt like we were having to work for them not enjoy our dining experience like any other paying customer. Our waiter stalked us until we placed our order then completely ignored us and we had to flag him down each time we needed anything. To make things worse he kept sending others over to talk to us! We finally got tired of waiting for our food so we finally found someone who could help us we found out our food wasn’t even ready (almost an hour later)! We were told our food would be out soon and ten minutes later it still wasn’t out. We finally asked for our orders to go and ten minutes after that yet another waiter brought our food out! No ownership or responsibility was taken from any of the employees in this restaurant. When I finally sat down to eat my meal I found that all the sauce was sitting at the bottom of the take out bag and none was left in the container ( although I was very careful to transport my meal). All in all a very mediocre meal for the price and lousy customer service. I will not be back.
