Today was my first visit to The Dream Cafe, and it will definitely not be my last. I ordered the Mile High omelette, which was absolutely delicious– the caramelized onions were my favorite part! Their shredded hashbrowns were cooked perfectly… brown and crispy on the outside, but not burnt. Their turkey bacon was the best I’ve had– thick slices, with a sweet flavor. Can’t wait to try more on my next stop there! stephaniedrenka.com
Great food, cute restaurant. I keep thinking I should go for brunch or dinner / drinks but I have been here for lunch nearly a dozen times. And I have order the pesto chicken salad lunch special everytime, it’s that good. Their iced tea is also amazing.
I wanted to like this restaurant. I really wanted to like this restaurant. It has a nice patio and is pet friendly. But the service is way below any acceptable standard. Servers are slow to show up and when they do they cannot get simple orders straight. Two out of the five orders were wrong. In one case I was offered a replacement meal – already prepared – after I already eaten my main course. How is that helpful. None of our orders were especially complicated so there is no reason they should not have been delivered correctly. In general the service was glacial. The food is OK but nothing special. The omelet I had left a pool of grease on the plate. There was a wait when we got there on Sunday but by noon the lines were gone. If the service doesn’t improve I fear the restaurant won’t be far behind.
Let’s talk. Great place for Sunday Brunch, or a good meal that is reasonably priced. The Service could improve, but overall worth a second chance.
The service is terrible. Atmosphere is too loud, feels cramped. Food is just ok, but atmosphere and service is on a Denny’s level. But the prices are not Denny’s prices…. You can easily go somewhere ten times better for the same money.
Will Their Service Ever Improve?. We have been long-time fans of Dream Caf but in the last 2 years every single time we go with children and all, service is extremely slow and indifferent attitude, with a couple of exceptions. We are usually there for 1 hour before we get to eat even when they are not busy. What are they doing back there? The food is a-okay, and now that we decided to turn Vegan it scares me to try their even healthier menu. When children are hungry, watch out! Several times I’ve even told them to bring out the children’s food first so they can play and wait for the adults to eat, which usually works for us but even the coffee takes 15-20 minutes to get sometimes, if you’re lucky to flag someone down. However, since the service improved by 50% when we were there 6 months ago I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but won’t be returning if I’m in any hurry or with young children or a large party…
Great brunch. This is one of my favorite brunch places. The menu is very diverse with plenty of healthy options. I particularly love the many juices and fresh fruits available, compared to the typical slew of pastries and breakfast meats offered as brunch at many other restaurants.
