One of my favorite places to go for Japanese food and seafood when I’m in Dallas. I have been here a lot of times and I have always had great service from them. The decor is nice but hasn’t changed in the years I been there. The seafood has always been fresh. The sushi have has its ups and downs but from my experience, they were mostly ups. The food is very good, up to par on standalone sushi places. I definitely anyone who loves Japanese food to at least give this place a try once.
I really enjoyed my time here. I loved getting the little burner at our table and cooking our own foods. There are so many food options, and I enjoyed everything I tried. I went for the brunch. Great service. Plenty of parking and seating. I definitely want to return. trendydallas.com
EXCELLENT!. Great variety and waitstaff is attentive
Good buffet!!. I haven’t eaten here for several years so we decided to eat there today. it turned out to be very tasty, great variety, and ok service. Even though it wasn’t very busy when we went, the management quickly put out fresh food when we arrived. That’s always a plus. Definitely be back next time I’m in town.
Everything I’d Hoped For. I had been looking for an all-you-can-eat sushi place to take my husband for his birthday, as we hadn’t been to one since we moved from Portland and I was on the fence about this place because the reviews were so mixed, but I did notice it had been featured on Food Network, so I decided to take a chance….and I am super glad I did. The selection was AMAZING! I had all my favorites, like unagi rolls and mackerel sashimi, and a wide variety of interesting foods I had either never tried or didn’t expect, like kimchi (which tasted just like the homemade stuff I’ve come to love), spicy calamari salad, quail eggs and snow crab legs. I tried jellyfish for the first time! There are more kinds of rolls, salads, random items like fried bean curd, desserts and hibachi items than I can easily detail. The fish tasted incredibly fresh and the texture was just right. On top of the great meal, the waitstaff was incredibly courteous, checked on us very regularly, and the manager made it a point to walk around and check in on all the guests, making small talk and joking. The atmosphere was really enchanting and it was a great supplement because I was immediately sold on the food.I know online reviews are hard to judge by, because they are all either glowing or laundry-lists of dissatisfaction, but I had a magical evening with my husband on his birthday that was well worth the price.
No coming back. After eating at tokyo one yesterday i must say i regret. over price and quality of food way down. food overcook or sushi too dry…. lamp, deco., table etc very dirty and dusty, don’t they ever clean or they want to build dust? keep you children away from it cause is very dusty.can you put some chicken/vegetarian broth on the soup?lately there is no Asian buffet good anywhere?price go up but quality go down, suck.
Walked in and was told by the staff that this was the best buffet in all of Dallas. I caution anyone dining here for the first time to ask how much it costs. The food for the most part was mediocre, lacking quality for the $31.95 set buffet price. The sushi was below average on par with fast food sushi. The cooked fare was also below average and lukewarm. My biggest issue was not either seeing posted prices or being told what the cost was. The furniture and carpet is old, damaged and outdated. The service was adequate. All in all this place is a huge disappointment. One note is that I was later told by a friend that their lunch price is a much more reasonable $16, so that’s food for thought. With so many choices on Belt Line rd, you can do a lot better than Tokyo One.
