Awesome Chips and Excellent Service. The potato chips I had were simply some of the best I’ve ever tasted. They are a direct descendant of the original Saratoga chip. These chips are what the ones at Champps used to be like. Very crispy, but the flavour is not lost in the crunch.The breading on the fried pickles were a little thick. But it didn’t diminish the taste of the pickle itself which I thought was darn good. Also, the ranch dressing they served seemed to taste different than most but provided a perfect compliment to the pickles (and the chips too.) They had steak fingers which are similar to a chicken fried steak but in chicken tenders form. They were pretty good. Came out piping hot and stayed hot all meal which was impressive. I took half of them home since I got six huge ones. The portion size was really big, and the price was anything but. Very affordable for the amount of food and the excellent taste value.I forget our server’s name, but she was outstanding. Never had to wait for a re-fill, and she was coming by just enough to let us know she hadn’t forgotten about us while at the same point not pestering us. A good combo there.The place is a throwback to the sports bars of yesteryear. This means it tends to be both loud and smoky. While I don’t smoke, I didn’t mind it too much. Just know that going in if you don’t like one or both of those things when eating out.I’ll be going back. I want to try their burgers. They looked mouthwatering too.
One of my favorites. This is my favorite restaurant in Addison. it’s so laid back, the food is awesome and the prices are great. I love their Reuben and they have the best French fries. My boyfriend loves their chicken fried steak. Oh and the chickles and pips are amazing!
Service is excellent Honey drummers are great Memphis blue or blues (I can’t remember) Its their blue cheese burger is SOOOO good it makes me forget things Like the name of it for instance 🙂

THE Best patty-melt – way to go Vernon’s – yum. Always love coming here! Wonderful friends – great drinks – great food and everyone is so friendly. LOVE Vernons.
Smoky but…. The specials are great! You can’t beat their daily specials – my only regret is that because it is a bar and you can smoke there if you go for lunch you are going to go back to work smelling like a cig. But the food is yum and the staff is friendly.
I LOVE VERNONS. The best burgers ever and of course don’t forget the honey drummers!
