Not worth it. Came from the other side of town to try. Came for lunch. Customer service was horrible. There were two servers for the whole restaurant. Our had clearly never waited tables before today. Not nice at all. There are better options out there. Don’t bother.
Worst rasturant. This is the worst place I ever been there chicken very dry food tastes like it was warm up first time I went there n it’s gonna be the last time
2.5 star dinner. Goat was Terribe tasted over cooked and sause was burned plus digging all the bones out if the food was not fun felt like I was in mideviltimes Era. Jerk shrimp was gteat but having the coupon did not help when I bought it I did not see the small print about how mich I had to spend. It was cold out side and just as cold inside guess heater was broke
Worth resturant ever. We went there at lunch time, because i liked some of the reviews on yelb. Very disappointed, worth service ever, they are expert in neglecting people. 1- No one was at the door to welcome the customers.2- Only 2 people working at the restaurant. The waitress was shouting from a faraway saying: you guys can sit anywhere we want. Forgot to mention restaurant was empty maybe 3 or 4 table. 3- We sat for about 7 minutes then same waitress came and ask us if we want to order from buffet or menu, we choose from the menu. And she took the drink order. Then another waitress brought our drink, then ask us what we want to order. We choose the sampler from the menu ($15.92). Then took him again another 10 minutes to come and get the entre order.When the appetizer arrive to our table, the plate was dirty and no presentation was horrible doesnt taste good. Then we have to wait another 35 minutes to get the entre and still not coming. We got upset paid for the appetizer and left. The waitress followed us and asks if we want to get the food to go. Its like they dont care why we are leaving and nothing happened, then he asked me if I paid for the appetizer I said yes I left it on the table. Forgot to mention we ask the first waitress to check on our food if its ready. She said ok and never bother to say yes its coming or taking more time, she kept walking around like we never asked her anything.Overall: Never never go there again. Way over prized menu, not worth it. Oliver Garden so cheaper than this restaurant. The dont appreciate you as a customers, Very Very Disappointed.
The Fabulous Oxtails. My most recent visit to Jamaica Gates did not disappoint my guest and I started with the sticky citrus wings as an appetizer for myself the oxtails with rice n peas were simply divine and mouth watering.. The service of our server was excellent ….
Eating With Usain Bolt, Bob Marley and Guy Fieri. The place was an interesting visit.Seems a little run down but we ran with it.Jerk Chicken is now my favorite chicken. I am not a big yardbird fan but I had several of these drumsticks.The Peas and rice were good especially with the Brown Stew Fish on it.Chocolate cake was much better than the bread pudding.
I don’t think I will ever find great Jamaican food in DFW. My food was cold. The curry chicken was flavorless and the gravy watery. Sigh…..next please!
