Good ice cream, nice people.. The ice cream at Marble Slab is very rich, and good, but my favorite thing about the place is that even when they don’t have my favorite flavor behind the glass (black walnut), if they have some in the back they will bring it up, and scoop some out for me. I have not found good black walnut ice cream anywhere else since I have lived in Texas, and when I go to Marble Slab, that is what I am going for. There used to be a Marble Slab near my house, but it was awful (didn’t answer the phone, bad hours, never had the ice cream I wanted, stale nuts in the jars…). I love the staff at the Arlington location.
