Not sure who would hate this place. Great atmosphere (minus the screaming kid) and helpful waitstaff. Food is great. Portions, well, I could feed another person with what I couldn’t finish on my plate. The beef fajitas fell apart they were so tender. Fresh homemade tortillas and warm salsa to get you started. A must try!
Lost their Way?. Hmm, seems this place has fallen in quality since my last visit. It does still have some things going for it- great location in Arlington Highlands, cute atmosphere, and good prices. Started out wonderful with good chips and wonderful freshly made tortillas (could have made a meal out of those) but the salsa they served with the chips was warm- yuck. It could be the best salsa in the world but it just seems to me that hot chips should be paired with cold salsa. The presentation of my tacos al carbon was okay, but they were very bare bones, just the meat with no toppings to speak of except a bowl of velveeta quality queso that already had a film on it. Pass. Ordered the charro beans and got what appeared to be pinto beans that were cold and not very appetizing. The rest of the people in my party seemed okay with their orders but it didn’t blow anyone out of this world. Service was adequate and relatively fast. Hopefully they turn their food quality up a notch cause I have fond memories of many good meals at this place!
DON’T EAT HERE. This was our restaurant until today!!! We had been happy with service but we had seen things changing and today it was the worst Day! the service was BAD I had a Bug in my plate it was on the side of the plate I had not seen it until I moved it and saw a black spot and saw what it was. I ask to speak with the manager and when he came I just knew what he was going to say. Maybe because he was of my own race, he said things happen and you know it could have been that the dishes did not get clean that well and with a big smile. He did not apologize just laugh. You could tell he did not care of what I had to say or what review this place gets he was too busy drinking with his friends near the Bar. You may want to take my advise and not eat here or not its up to you until it happen to you. I was NOT trying to get anything FREE as one manager to another I expected him to at least say sorry this happen but he did not care, it’s BAD because of this type of management they will lose customers I know that I and my family we never go back and I will make sure that everyone knows.

I think this place is REALLY good! Flour tortillas are home made and chips and salsa are really good. I got the chicken fajitas which were decent but not the best that I’ve had. Ordered the fried ice cream which was awesome. It’s real fried ice cream and not the kind where they just give you a scoop of ice cream with frosted flakes on it. Staff was very attentive and friendly.
Great mexican food w/ stellar service. Chile rellenos is a great choice. We have eaten here multiple times and received exemplary service each time. Can’t go wrong stopping in for dinner here.
Tex Mex?. Worst Tex Mex food ever! Only thing that was good were the chips! Will not ever go back again! Needs to be replaced by Pappasitos.
