The food is good and we rarely have an issue with our order. There is one waiter here that kicks butt. His name is Chad. We refer to him as Thank You Chad which we say everytime he brings us anything. The management here doesn’t run a very tight ship and unless we have Thank You Chad service is slow as mud. These kids don’t seem to have any ability to expedite anything quickly. Half the time they seem to just stare at each other. One time at the Lamar location the place got slammed and all waiters that were cut left two waitresses alone to carry the buffer. IMO it simply comes down to laced management.
The burgers are good and they taste different then your garden variety fast food joint. Not too big on the fries. They are not terrible but I like bigger types of fries. The shakes are amazing. The only thing that I really do not like is the sweet tea. Its made from sugar cane and I never liked the taste.
4th attempt 4th epic failure. Never have had a good meal at any Steak ‘n Shake and even worse service.
S&S is a classic. Top quality beef, excellent cheeses, excellent fries and shakes. Stick to the traditional toppings; some of the Midwest versions may throw you. This chain has an unwavering commitment to quality and great service; the costs of serving burgers on china are staggering but they have never changed. Excellent.
Burgers, shakes, shoe string fries: need more? They have chicken and other sandwiches. Not earth shattering, just good basic grub.
Excellent service. We ordered a small plate of macaroni for our hungry baby before we ordered our food. The waiter had it at the table in less than 60 secs with our drinks. Bigger restaurants should come visit here to see great service in action. I recomend this location for sure. Oh yeah the food was great as well.
Shakes Baby!. I am not a big fan of their menu, but I do love their Shakes. They are excellant.
