We just finished having breakfast here this morning. The food was amazing. I got the huevos rancheros which is highly recommended. My wife got the omelette which also was very flavorful the orange juice was also fresh squeezed and very tasty.
Such a great place for breakfast–next time I’m in Austin I’ll be back. Outstanding bakery goods, huge portions–this is what you’d expect from a Texas eatery! Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.
The breakfast at the 1886 was very good. It’s not a fast food breakfast – so expect to relax and enjoy the food and great service.
We spent the night at The Driskill so eating here was convenient and part of our stay package. We did really enjoy the food and the service was good. The Texas shaped waffle was yummy and my husband enjoyed Hangover Omelette.
Food was very good, but service was a bit disappointing. Had to flag down waiter several times just to order. Don’t go here if you are in a rush
