Brisket was chewy…so we went to Buc-ees.
We searched for barbecue in Bastrop as we dove through town and this came up immediately. We drove right past it the first time and turned back around. You would never expect this little shack to have such phenomenal barbecue. I was born and raised on barbecue and this was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Do not hesitate to try this place. Next time I’m in town there is no doubt I’ll be going to fitties
Great food. Great service. Great price.. I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. All have been wonderful. The staff is friendly. You can call ahead for pickup. They do required at least $15 for use of credit cards, but c’mon. They are a small place and credit card processing can be expensive. Outdoor dining only, so if you need some a/c, get your order to go.

Don’t pass this place by…. Excellent brisket! Melts in your mouth! Friendly service and very fair prices. Good Texas BBQ, one of the best in the Austin and surrounding areas. Don’t forget to try the ‘Marty’ breakfast taco…Best there is!
Stop here. If you are on a bbq quest, look no further. This might be the best cue I have ever eaten, and I have been all over the country looking for the perfect barbecue. If you are headed to Austin to stand in line for famous bbq, stop here, then go home. Everything here is exactly right. As I eat here, I am reminded that the roots of barbecue can be traced right through this kitchen. The trendy, flashy, and attempts at old-school come up short.If you happen by in a mood for a breakfast taco, this is the best.
Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I wanted some BBQ and he pulled up this place. When we pulled up it was this small little shack and across the highway is this huge BBQ place and I asked him if he was mistaken. Well we tried it and it was amazing!! So glad we didn’t change our minds and go to the place that looked cool! This proves don’t judge a book by its cover!! My chopped beef sandwich was the best I have ever had! I definitely would recommend this place to anyone!
