Do not recommend. First time i went in about 3 wks ago was better. but ive a better scope of restaur now and disappointed. My food seemed to be thrown togetther this time. Curry was runny and rest could be cleaner. Don’t think I will be returning.
The panang curry is delicious!
Food was really good. I ordered the Pad Thai it didn’t have peanuts or bean sprouts but the flavor was good. My husband ordered the Thai Combo Rice he loved it. We also ordered the Tom Kha (big bowl) be aware. 🙂 great flavor! The crab rangoons were PERFECT! All in all we’ll be back with friends! Welcome to Bastrop!
Authentic!. How nice to have some authentic Thai food out here in Cedar Creek! I had the Tom Kha with tofu (heavenly!) and the Spring Rolls~ which were all beautifully hand rolled. No frozen here, you could tell! Also the lunch special was very affordable at $6.95. A HUGE portion! It was lunch AND dinner! Thanks, Mai Thai! Glad to have you in the neighborhood!
Very good food and service. My son took me here. I was a afraid at first. I don’t do well with spicy food. The owner help me pick a dish that was not to spicy. I went with the cashew chicken and the egg drop soup. Everything was very good and I loved the service. They were so helpful. I will go back with friends.
This food is beyond good! And I’m a picky eater. We went 3 times in a week after the first time we had it! Very good and the general tso’s chicken is really spicy and I loved it!!
Fantastic!!. I’ve lived in Thailand for 2 years, and I’ve eaten at countless Thai restaurants. I was very happy when I found out that there was a Thai restaurant near Bastrop where I live, and even happier to find out that the food is awesome! The papaya salad was some of the best I’ve ever had! Mai Thai is located in a Citgo gas station just off Hwy 71, and you order your food through a little square window. It’s literally a hole in the wall. There are no chairs, no tables. The cook is a native of Thailand, and she was very friendly. Her husband was also there, and we all chatted while she made my salad. Don’t let the lack of decor or the setting scare you off. This is about as close to an authentic Bangkok food experience as you can get in the US. Fresh, amazing food, and a friendly Thai smile to go with it! I absolutely recommend it!
