Fantastic. The food is simply awesome and so is the ambience. Their daily special rolls and sashimis totally rock! I’ve had a lot of Japanese food – all the way from feasting on chu-toro in Tsukiji Fish Market, Japan to savoring some really yummy teppanyaki at the Tokyo in Eau Claire, Wisconsin – and trust me when I tell you that you are getting great value for some top notch food right here! Have a meal there and you’ll thank me 🙂

Don’t Bother. We have been eating sushi and sashimi all over the world for the past 30 or more years including more than a year living in Japan. We chose to have the sashimi dream this time (a $40 item) with a bowl of sushi rice on the side for the Mrs. We will not be back to this place. All the seafood with only a couple of exceptions had no distinctive flavor so you could not tell you were eating hamachi (yellowtail), for instance. It looked like hamachi but had no flavor. All the seafood really tasted as if it had been previously frozen! The hotategai (scallop) served was old, bordering on downright spoiled and for us inedible…we sent it back and received another nondescript bit of sashimi in its place. The pieces were thin for sashimi and the serving board overloaded with shredded daikon. There was no gari (pickled ginger) served with the meal…we had to ask for some. The miso soup was thin with little solids (less even than is usual…one little cube of tofu, for instance). The green tea was good.

Great Value and Quality. Excellent menu with great values to be found during lunch and happy hour. Nice selection of quality + value wines, albeit a very small selection. Lunch specials and happy hour specials are excellent. Food for both Sushi and non-Sushi lovers alike. Superior value to other higher priced options in the same area.
