Standard Tex Mex, small portions, nothing really stood out at all on the menu. My food was cooked well but I may have gotten 1/3rd of a chicken breast…

Atmosphere. Loved sitting out on the patio. You would think the road being so close to it would be annoying but is wasn’t bad. We people watched the drivers and they didn’t really seem to notice us sitting there watching them. Food was pretty good too.
My experience here was pretty bad. We waited 20 minutes after being seated outside and no one ever came to take our drink orders, I had to go inside and let the hostess know. She then took our orders and out server was very rude, got upset when I asked for a refill and completely ignored our requests. Food was okay, just don’t order any seafood because you will not get your moneys worth.30 Jan, 2012Absolutely wonderful! Service was great, food was great, drinks were great!!! The worst Mexican food I have had in AustinWith so many choices why bother?
Excellent Tex Mex!!
Worst fajitas ever. This was the third time we ate at Maudie’s in Bee Cave. The prior two times, we were satisfied with the food. This time we got the worst beef fajitas we have ever gotten at a restaurant. I don’t think they were grilled, they looked like they were cooked in a casserole, the meat was tough, stringy and tasted like a roast, not to our liking. The service and the margaritas were good. We went this past Saturday at 7PM. In the past they were usually packed, this time we were able to get a table right away, so maybe I am not the only one with this experience.
Nothing special. Same boring mass-produced Tex-Mex as the other location. Noisy, fair service. Why bother? Maybe if you are feeding kids…
Maudies Bartender/To Go Order person. The Maudie’s Tex Mex Bee Cave needs a bar tender/to go order person that actually knows what he’s doing. I was there at 6:05 with all of 3 people at the bar, one person already eating. It took the bar tender/to go person 5 minutes to acknowledge me and take my order (for two people). After about 35 minutes I asked someone else to check my order. He gave me my order that had been sitting behind the bar for about 15 minutes. The bar tender/to go order person needs to pay attention to his job instead of going out and talking to the ladies. He even got my order wrong. Last time I’m going there even though I live 2 minutes away.
