AMAZING FOOD. We ate at the location on Hamilton Pool Road. The Chipotle pork chops were the best I ever had. You cannot go wrong eating here. The bacon wrapped quail breasts as an appetizer is so-good and different. Kim our waitress was very attentive and offered great selections. We will be going back as often as we can during our stay in the Austin area.

Amazingly great food. Simple great flavors that zing together in unexpected ways. I recommend the Carne Asada, Chile Relleno, or the Chicken Enchilada. I look forward to trying the quail or pork chops next time.

You have to get the Verde Sampler. Squash cakes? Phenomenal!!!!!!!!! My 12 year old tried one and we had the fight for the last one. Great food. Great drinks. Great service. Even made us soppapias for dessert which isn’t even on the menu for some reason.

The pork chop, the mutton, steaks, mexican martinis. Delicious!07 Jan, 2011It WAS excellent. The place has great ambiance inside, a very nice patio outside. Customers dressed nicely to go there for dinner. We’ve been there 5 times, and the first two times the service and food were absolutely superb! The waiters were dressed professionally and provided impressive service, even though the place was packed! Food perfectly cooked and presentation very nice…and the chef/owner found time to visit each table. I had the pork chop… UNBELIEVABLE and the Verde’s salad also very nice. On the third visit, we noticed new , less impressively dressed wait staff with lower skills and service. The food was still very good, but the ambiance was just G-O-N-E. I think the restaurant would improve if people would be honest and let the novice restaurant owners, the chef and his wife (in their 20’s), know what is going wrong! The quality all around has fallen off and they just need to pick it back up again. That’s all. I will be going back. The food is just too good and they have mutton and Angus steaks which are also fabulous.

Great Mexican Food!. I’ve eaten at Verde’s many times since they’ve opened and the food has always been great. Service has been good most of the time, but overall, it is tasty every time. Can’t tell much about the bar, other than the Dos Equis is cold. Pollo Verde and the Carne Asada are my favorites!Highly recommended!

Avg food; poor bar; untrained wait staff. The food is good enough and the price is fair. The bar is very poor. We were recommended an amaretto margarita combination and it was really bad. My husband ordered a gin and tonic – delivered with no lime. Due to the bad Margarita, I ordered a vodka tonic – delivered with no lime. Great salad with mango salsa. Shrimp was good but a little overdone. Everyone was pleasant but the wait staff was uncoordinated with each other – had three different people in 5 minutes but then took forever to get the drinks. They brought out the entree before we were done with the appetizer and just set the entrees on the side of the table. It then took them a while to pick up the used plates. Not smooth. The ice cream in the dessert was very poor quality – gummy odd vanilla of an unusual food coloring color.
