I don’t know why, but I always forget about Carinos. I like it much more than Olive Garden, but not as much as Carrabba’s. It’s not as good as Macaroni Grill used to be, but better than Macaroni Grill is now. Today I had the spicy shrimp and chicken. The shrimp would have been better maybe if it was grilled with a few spices. The sauce was nice and creamy, and has just a little kick (thus spicy in the title). It’s unfortunate to read the other reviews and hear about the poor service. I was lucky enough to have a solid server. If you can’t find a solid locally owned Italian place, and there no Carrabbba’s around, Carino’s is a good bet.
Food wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t go back or recomend it. Even the margarita I had was week and flavorless. I ordered an appitizer and our waitress gave it to another table by accident. Took another 20 mins to get it.
Normally enjoy the food but after today’s awful curbside service and very rude manager @ the Brownsville location, I do not plan on returning.
