This restaurant was a nice find and not too pricey and most of all much more than the title steakhouse implies. I expected massive amounts of meat but instead found well-crafted food by a knowledgeable chef. La Pampa makes its own bread and following the Spanish-Italian legacy of Argentina, the bread came with olive oil and a delectable melange of spices, butter, and most interesting of all, a delicious chicken liver pate. We had to try the empanadas and they were perfect. The tenderloin we tried was perfect, rare on the inside as requested and crusty on the outside. This chef knows how to cook beef. A panda cotta with a fruit preserve finished the meal off well. We were teetotaling that night but I believe theres a nice but small selection of wines. We will go back to try other dishes at some point and while I dont give it my highest rating, the rating still reflects an excellent dining experience. I dont review restaurants that I wouldnt return to but 5 stars I save for lifetime memorable meals.
