We stopped at Madeira without a reservations and without proper footwear (my husbands shorts were ok but they have a dress code of no sandals!) Since it was early and not crowded, they kindly let us visiting Ohioans in and put us in a corner table for two. The drinks were generous and the food was awesome. I had salmon that was done perfectly with a crispy outer crust and perfect tender inside. My husband had a steak grilled perfectly. We are eating Keto, and asked for vegetables which weren’t on the menu. We got a bowl of delicious grilled vegetables so it is good to ask. The ambiance is very romantic, the music is tranquil and peaceful. The decor is sophisticated but soothing. There is also an outdoor dining area. We were so pleasantly surprised by this place since there don’t seem to be many really nice restaurants in Brownsville, mostly chains or small, very casual mom & pop places. Madeira was a special place to eat!
