Tasty brisket and pulled pork. Brisket was better. Sauces were really good for a Texas joint. Friendly and willing to serve like Rudy’s. Potato salad was tasty and the beans were homemade like my wife’s. They just need my wife’s seasoning recipe though.

From my childhood. I used to go to this place when it was still a convenience store, I remember when he was barely starting his buissiness I was 4 to 5 years old and there was passion in the bbq. My mother would stop in get gas and a a nice big plate of bbq, the owner used to cook it just himself not sure if he does now I haven’t been since we moved in 2000. I know one thing though it’s the only bbq I’ve ever takes about and hold everyone else’s up to its old standards. I’m 24 years old now so I doubt it is still the same, but it is a memory I’ll always love.

When BBQ Make My Favorite. I’m still bragging. BBQ, really made my Favorites List? OH YEAH! Just down the road from the World Famous TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY, C&J came recommended from fellow Ags. An old converted gas station, you’re met by a NY deli line service with all flavors and likes of fresh bbq are set before you in a display case. Brisket, Pulled Pork; Ribs; Sausage; slaw; potato salad… oh my, I think I’m still welling with tears of the country goodness. I went (mistakenly) with the 3 meat plate, which in reality could have fed a family of five. Way too much food! The flavors are absolutely amazing and will definitely be the family stop through when we hit College Station again. Do not miss this place!
