Unexpected meal.. If you really know food then this is not the place too go. Went to dinner here seeing that we haven’t been in over 5 Years we decided to give it a try. I ordered the tortellini ala Capri and instead of lobster meat I got CRAB meat. When the waitress brought my food it looked quiet delicious and as I started to eat I noticed that the crab was IMPERIAL CRAB meat. I highly did not expect seeing that. You would think he would use fresh ingredients, but I guess the customers dont know any better.

One of our favorite places to go in Bryan/College Station. The food is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is fun/romantic and for the price you cannot beat it. The lobster penne is where it’s at, but honestly I have tried just about everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. I point all of my family an friends there for a great meal, do not pass it up!! (And I will warn you, it is so popular you very well might need to make a little extra time to wait for a table, they are busy, but friendly, folks) 😉
If your are a party of more than 4, good luck. You are going to wait a while. And don’t order the gnocchi. The sauce is good but the dumplings are awful. Salads are good.
Italian Cuisine gone awry….. The presentation of food was basic. The sauce was not authentic Italian and lacked any resemblence of Italian seasonings. The bread was good. The olive oil tasted rancid. The silverware was bent and looked very inexpensive. The ambience of the place was poor. The music was brassy heavy metal and the staff lacked professionalism. Not a nice place to eat if your looking for good food and a nice atmosphere. Very Poor.20 Jan, 2013Lacked ambience and taste. Our experience today at Caffe Capri was very poor from the moment we arrived. From the heavy metal music to the cleaning solution aroma. There was no smell of Italian food cooking whatsoever. We ordered our food. I ordered eggplant which is my favorite dish. It came with a green salad which was just that lettuce, 1 tomato and croutons. ok…the bread was ok but the olive oil and vinegar dip was tastelless. When the eggplant arrived there was 1 wafer thin piece buried in a cheese and sauce topping. There was nothing to cut. The rest of the plate was spaghetti which I did not ask for. The sauce lacked spice or seasoning and I left hungry. I actually called Carino’s and ordered eggplant to go. The waiter apologized and took it off the menu but he didn’t care either way. If I owned this restaurant, there would be some big changes from the seasonings, music, silver ware, staff, etc…On a scale of 1 -10…this place gets a 1. Will not go back and would not recommend. The other 2 people said the food was fair, lacked flavor.
